Feasibility Study and Preliminary Design of New Urban Motorway form New Belgrade to Surcin
New Belgrade – Surcin new urban motorway is a strategic project for Belgarde and Serbia, which will interconnect New Belgrade with new motorway Milos Veliki and further with Western and Central Serbia.
The total length of the planned route is ca. 8 km with 3 intersections and 2 interchnages.
The overall objective is to prepare the Feasibility Study (FS) with Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) for the construction of the urban motorway.The specific objectives include the following:
- Development of traffic models in the software package PTV VISUM for the base year and a forecast period of 20 years, with 5 forecast horizon years (expected first year of project operation, fifth, tenth, fifteenth and twentieth) for the scenario "WITHOUT INVESTMENT" and "WITHINVESTMENT”
- Preparation of model output results and analysis of the following:
- specific advice on updating the National Transport Model in order to ensure its compliance with the applicable EU requirements and best practices in this area, with a view to expand its use across the transport sector;
- general advice, as appropriate, on the collection of road traffic and mobility data, including specific recommendation on data collection methodologies, the institutional setup, the use of ITS in this process, etc.
